Brothers Giannakis and Miltos Manakia were born in Avdella, Grevena in 1878 and 1882, respectively, and from there began their journey as pioneering filmmakers in the Balkans. Their activity developed especially in the settlements of Damasi, Damasouli, Tyrnavos, Tsaritsani, Elassona, Vlachokleisoura, Ioannina, Thessaloniki, Bitola, Kumanovo, Philippopolis and in the neighboring villages to their birthplace, Perivoli, Smixi and Samarina.

Marking these points on the map and then placing them on Avdella creates the installation complex of the program, an intervention in order to open the roads to Avdella and to revive the work of the Manakia brothers.

Each building bears the name of one of the key stops of Manakia and rests effortlessly on the landscape, adding up, without taking away. The total of fourteen buildings provides for the design of places of hospitality, seminars, workshops, exhibitions as well as shops, offices, observatory, fountain and a stand - information point.
